Katie Sanchez incorporates more than 20 years of experience consulting, managing and training into programs designed to help professionals enhance the way they do business. Katie joined Disney in 1996 as a customized program manager for Disney Institute. Designing and consulting business programs for Fortune 50 clients, Katie developed unique solutions to meet the clients’ needs from concept to facilitation. In 1997, she left the company to pursue her training development passion as an external contract consultant. While away from Disney, Katie developed customized in-house training programs that reduced developmental training costs for a variety of clients. Following her consultant work, Katie worked for Barnett and Nations Bank as a senior trainer designing and facilitating leadership and executive development programs. She also worked in areas including outplacement, project scope, methodology and integration initiatives to help maintain the bank’s company culture throughout three mergers. In 2000, Katie returned to The Walt Disney Company as a leadership development consultant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. There she helped the team enhance organizational behavioral performance, drive business results, conduct in-depth needs assessments, and customize organizational development interventions to more than 250 operations leaders and their teams. Katie returned to Disney Institute in 2008. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for accomplishment, Katie provides concept, content, project direction and facilitation of strategic and tailored Disney Institute programs to external clients worldwide. Prior to joining the Disney team, Katie was a marketing manager and senior international training specialist for FedEx, both domestically and internationally, with a particular focus on Latin American and Caribbean markets. She also worked as a training specialist for both Flying Tigers, Inc., and Hughes Aircraft Company in Los Angeles, Calif. Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Boston University and a Master of Science degree in industrial and organizational psychology from New York’s Long Island University. She earned a certificate of international marketing, accredited by the University of Colorado on an academic world voyage with The Institute for Shipboard Education, Semester at Sea. She is also a qualified facilitator/interpreter of the MyersBriggs Type Indicator assessment. Katie was nominated for the Partners in Excellence award in 2001.
