Derek Schlicker is the Senior Director of Finance at PayScale and has been with Payscale since 2014.

Derek's first earned dollar was working on his grandparents farm, where he quickly realized he was better suited at life working indoors. A graduate of University of Washington, Derek has spent almost his entire career in the high-growth technology space in the Seattle and Bay Area markets and has led teams in financial planning, sales ops, business analytics, and strategic planning. He has been lucky enough to have supported 5 transactions (both buy and sell side), and an IPO in the last ten years.

The thing that makes Payscale a great company to work for (and with) is the absolute dedication and passion its employees bring to leading the charge in how companies speak about compensation in a more fair and equitable (and data-driven!).

In his free time, Derek loves spending time with his wife on the boat, at the rugby game, at the theater, or at the D&D table.
