Senior Director, Global Rewards & HRIS
Andrea Morales, SHRM-SCP, is the Senior Director, Global Total Rewards and HRIS for Amyris. Andrea started her career in sales, moving into sales analytics, direct mail marketing analytics, sales incentive programs, bonus and landed currently in Total Rewards. When her oldest daughter was diagnosed with autism at a young age, she also had a stint at jetBlue Airways so she could work nights and weekends. Her role evolved into scheduling and payroll for the entire station, including launching a new shift bid and scheduling system. Andrea is known for being both a strategic leader and for creating operational processes. She thrives on being a disruptor and innovator – and is often heard saying “the way we did it last year, isn't good enough.” Throughout her career, she has taken on systems and projects that were broken and has implemented automation and process to create efficiencies and allow for scale. During her short tenure at Amyris, Andrea has: implemented a new HRIS system; delivered new time off programs; onsite meditation to complement the existing yoga and boot camp; company paid identity theft protection and legal services; and designed and implemented a new compensation structure, bonus plan, equity plan and tools to deliver these programs. She is currently rolling out a new ATS and LMS tool, and exploring sabbaticals and a new program to offer benefits on a more individualized basis. She also believes she is extremely funny – and everyone laughs when she tells them that, which confirms her belief.
